Aleqs Notal is a DJ and producer hailing from Paris, known for his deep connection to musical heritage and a refined sound that captures precision and depth. Beginning his DJing career in 1999, Notal gradually rose to prominence through Turntablism DJ competitions and by composing for international labels. In 2020, he established his own label, I.L. Recordings, marking a significant milestone in his contribution to underground electronic music. His musical journey features a relentless exploration of sound, ranging from raw yet ethereal deep tracks on ClekClekBoom Recordings to soulful EPs on Patrice Scott’s Sistrum in Detroit. His international acclaim includes works like “Paris Lagos Soundscapes,” recorded in Nigeria, and "Big Tal’s Elements" on Benji B’s One Level from the UK, solidifying his presence on the global stage. With releases on labels such as Forbidden Dance, Visions, and Salon Recordings from Los Angeles, Aleqs Notal continues to push boundaries, captivating audiences with his impeccable technique behind the decks and deep, raw, funky sounds.
