Alessandro Pizzin, known by his nickname Alieno DeBootes, is an Italian keyboardist, organ player, and producer born in 1959 on the Venetian firmland to Italian and half-Austrian parents. His musical journey began in a family where music was a shared passion, fostering his curiosity about the frontiers of sound. He self-identifies as a "soundician," reflecting his exploration of the infinite combinations of sounds and noises to create innovative sonic illusions. In the early 1980s, he started his career with the experimental pop band Ruins, recording several albums and performing at art galleries and multimedia events. He has since been a founding member of various musical projects, including Hex, Hakkah, Grampus, Wind Project (with Gigi Masin), and more recently, The Bootes Trio. From the late 1990s onwards, Pizzin has focused on being an independent producer across diverse musical genres, from pop to experimental music, collaborating with like-minded musicians to foster creative opportunities. Currently, he is dedicated to recovering archival material while also recording new works that reflect his past and present creative endeavors.
