Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister was a Yoruba singer-songwriter and music performer, born on February 9, 1948, in Ibadan, Nigeria. He is regarded as a pioneer of Fuji and Wéré music. Barrister passed away on December 16, 2010, in London, UK. His notable "Fuji garbage" song series incorporates American Ebonics slang, where "bad" is interpreted to mean "good."
