Alice Phoebe Lou is a South African-born indie pop singer and songwriter. She grew up in Kommetjie, South Africa, and after finishing school, she traveled through Europe, where she began busking in her new hometown of Berlin, performing in U-Bahn stations and clubs. In 2015, she embarked on international touring. Her song "She," featured in the film "Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story," was shortlisted for the Academy Awards' 2018 Oscars in the Best Original Song category.
