Allez Allez was a funky Belgian new wave band that was on the verge of an international breakthrough in 1981. However, they lost their singer in London and quickly replaced her. The band recorded their planned Peel session and changed their name to Allez Allez. After releasing the indie mini album "African Queen," they signed with Virgin Records. Their album "Promises," produced by a founding member of both the band and another group, was released in November 1982. Despite their efforts, the album and singles did not achieve mainstream success, and Sarah, the singer, left the band to marry Heaven 17's singer. She was replaced by Jackie Irwin from New York, but this change did not work out. The bass player later found fame as a singer in the French-speaking part of the world.
