Alusa Fallax is a five-piece band from Milan, formed in 1969 from the remnants of Gli Adelfi. They released their first single the same year, followed by a second single shortly after. In 1969, one of the members, who shared a name with another member, released a solo single under the name Guido degli Alusa Fallax. The band continued to perform and released their only album in 1974 on Fonit, which is regarded as a little-known gem in the Italian progressive rock tradition. The album, characterized by keyboard-led compositions with classical influences, is reminiscent of the best works of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. Although the album features 13 tracks, they are interconnected to form two lengthy suites that are well performed and sung, accompanied by intriguing lyrics. Unfortunately, Alusa Fallax received very little promotion and continued to play in the dance floor circuit until 1979, releasing a commercial single in 1977 under a different name.
