Alvaro Cárdenas is a Colombian musician, arranger, composer, and orchestra leader from Barranquilla. He was born in Cartagena de Indias on October 24, 1941. He is the father of Alvaro Rafael Cárdenas Román and Alberto Tico Cárdenas.
