Amalia Mendoza, known as 'La Tariacuri,' was a famous Mexican singer of rancheras. She was born on July 23, 1923, in San Juan Huetamo, Michoacan, Mexico, and passed away on June 11, 2001, in Mexico City, Mexico. She was the sister of Norberto and Eligio, who formed a group together.
