Amaryllis is a female-fronted Japanese new wave, post-punk, and avant-garde band formed in Kyoto in 1981. They reunited around 2010. The band is known for their eccentric performances by lead singer Kanako Nakatsuka (also known as Alice Sailor), which are heavily influenced by various elements and often feature chaotic live shows. Their lyrical themes predominantly explore sexual and pervy subjects.
