Amebix was a crust punk band from England, formed in 1978 and disbanded in 1987. They are considered influential pioneers of the crust punk genre. During their initial run, they recorded three albums and two EPs. After their split in 1987, member The Baron moved to the Isle of Skye to work as a sword-smith, while the remaining members continued with other projects until fading into obscurity in the early 1990s. The band reformed in February 2008, but without original member Spider, and introduced new drummer Roy Mayorga. However, in 2012, Rob "The Baron" Miller announced in an interview that Amebix had disbanded once again.
