Americo Brito was a singer from Cape Verde, born on the island of Fogo. In the 1970s, he moved to Europe, specifically to Portugal and the Netherlands. He was a member of two bands, "Babylon" and "Djarama." From the late 1970s, he lived in Rotterdam West until he passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 65.
