The Ames Brothers were a renowned singing quartet from Malden, Massachusetts, known for their traditional pop music hits, particularly in the 1950s. The group consisted of four brothers: Joe (born May 3, 1921, died December 22, 2007), Gene (born February 13, 1923, died April 4, 1997), Vic (born May 20, 1925, died January 23, 1978), and Ed (born July 9, 1927, died May 21, 2023). They achieved significant success, charting 41 times in the U.S. and U.K. between 1949 and 1963. Their notable #1 hits include "Sentimental Me" and "Rag Mop" in 1950, as well as "You You You" in 1953, along with an additional 15 songs that reached the top 20.
