Ammoncontact is a hip-hop/electronica duo formed by former Los Angeles radio DJ Carlos Niño and Rhode Island native Fabian Ammon Alston, who became friends in high school. They made their debut in 2001 with the track "Chord, Pts. 1-2" on the compilation Dublab Presents: Freeways. Their first full-length album, Sounds Like Everything, was released in 2003 on Plug Research. This was followed by One in an Infinity of Ways in 2004, and in 2005 they released New Birth on Ninja Tune. They continued with Ninja Tune for their fourth record, 2006’s With Voices, which was notable for featuring a guest artist on every track.
