Amnesia is a music project that began as a solo endeavor by Stephan Novak, who composed all the tracks for the first album at home. After completing the album, he approached the Disco Smash shop in Menen for production. Michel Nachtergaele and Bruno Vangarsse, who did not play any instruments on the records they are credited for, agreed to work with Novak and formed a band that included two DJs they knew, aiming to ensure the record would receive play in clubs. Following the success of the first LP, the producers decided to part ways with Novak and sought to generate more profit by employing different composers and styles under the Amnesia name.
