Ana-Maria Avram (12 September 1961 – 1 August 2017) was a Romanian composer, conductor, and keyboard player born in Bucharest, Romania. She studied at the National University of Music in Bucharest from 1980 to 1985 and pursued aesthetics at Sorbonne Paris. Avram co-directed the Hyperion ensemble with her husband, who founded the ensemble in 1976. She also played an administrative role by creating the Spectrum XXI festival and was an early member of the Romanian Community of electronic and computer music.
