Ana Paula Santana, born in 1985 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, is an artist whose work explores the intersection of sound and the human body. She is particularly interested in constant, machinelike, and overwhelming sounds, viewing the body as an absorbent material that continuously receives and reacts to external frequencies. Her artistic practice focuses on the voice, experimenting with its limits and the sympathetic relationship between one's own voice and appropriated voices.
