Anacrusis is a thrash/progressive metal band hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, USA, formed in 1986. Initially, the band played thrash metal from 1986 to 1990 before evolving into a progressive metal sound between 1991 and 1993. The final line-up consisted of Kenn Nardi on guitar and vocals, Kevin Heidbreder on guitar, John Emery on bass, and Paul Miles on drums, active from 1992 to 1993. Earlier members included Chad Smith on drums from 1990 to 1992 and Mike Owen on drums from 1987 to 1990.
