Ancien Régime was formed in 2003 by Valerio Bulla (vocals and bass) and Gino Maglio (drums) as an indie-rock influenced power trio. In 2007, Angelo Stoikidis (guitar) joined the band, leading to a significant shift in their sound towards the 80s “new wave” style. Angelo became an ideal songwriting partner for Valerio, enhancing their musical direction. In 2008, Domenico Migliaccio, known for his work with bands like Bedtime for Charlie and Sadside Project, replaced Gino Maglio on drums, while Gino transitioned to handling the synth. However, in early 2014, Ancien Régime decided to disband.
