Andreas Leifeld was a talented and somewhat obscure German artist known for his unique blend of refined ambiences, driving funk bass lines, and rock beats. His melodies and improvisations were often catchy, accompanied by song titles and sonic imagery that reflected social commentary. Classically trained, he worked as a music teacher in Paderborn, Germany, and his modest apartment was filled with various electronic gadgets. Leifeld embodied the cyberpunk mentality, often expressing a desire to transcend earthly concerns by downloading the essence of his mind, body, and soul onto a hard disk. Sadly, he passed away on February 1, 2006, in a hospital. He is missed by many. R.I.P. Andreas.
