Andy Bown (born 27 March 1946, The City, London, England, UK) is an English musician known for his expertise in keyboards and bass guitar. He is currently a member of the rock band Status Quo. Bown's musical journey began with his first major band, The Herd. After The Herd dissolved, he spent two years with another group that opened for the 1970 tour. In the 1970s, he played for Peter Frampton, initially on keyboards and briefly switched to bass when another member departed the band. However, Bown left the Frampton entourage less than a year later, just as Frampton was becoming a global rock sensation. Returning to England, Bown explored a solo career before resuming his work with Status Quo. He started as a session musician for the band in 1973, contributing to their Hello! album that year. He became a full member of Status Quo in 1976 and has remained with them ever since. Additionally, Bown supported Pink Floyd as part of the surrogate band during their The Wall tour and played keyboards on Pink Floyd's album The Final Cut.
