Aneka, born Mary Sandeman on November 20, 1947, in Edinburgh, is a Scottish singer known for her hit single "Japanese Boy," which reached number one in the UK in August 1981, earning her "one-hit wonder" status. In addition to her pop success, she has also released traditional Scottish folk music under her real name.
