Ángel Carril Ramos (August 6, 1954 – July 31, 2002) was a distinguished Spanish ethnologist, folklorist, and expert in Sephardic culture. Born in Salamanca, he earned his degree in Geography and History from the University of Salamanca in 1981. As the director of the Centro de Cultura Tradicional de Salamanca from 1981 until his passing, Carril was instrumental in preserving and studying traditional culture. His notable works include "Canciones y romances de Salamanca" (1982) and "Pocas palabras bastan" (2002). In recognition of his contributions, he received the "Premio Salamanca" from the Centro de Estudios Salmantinos in 1981.
