Angel Corpus Christi is a San Francisco-based singer and accordionist known for her vintage-sounding pop albums, which she began releasing in the 1980s. She debuted in 1984 with "I Love New York," an album of covers from NYC artists such as The Ramones and Lou Reed. The following year, she released "Wake Up & Cry," featuring primarily original songs, and in 1987, she followed up with "Dim the Lights." In 1989, she released "Accordion Pop Vol. 1," a collection of accordion covers, along with her first CD, "The '80s," which included both retrospective tracks and new material. Angel's husband, Rich Stim, has been a significant collaborator and is known for his role in avant/fringe rock since the mid-'70s with the band MX-80. In 1995, she signed with the mainstream label Almo Sounds and released "White Courtesy Phone," produced by Craig Leon, featuring contributions from Herb Alpert and Hal Blaine. Angel has also contributed accordion to Spiritualized's album "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space" and collaborated with Luna's Dean Wareham on a cover of Serge Gainsbourg's "Je T'aime (I Wanna Boogie With You)." In 2005, she released "Louie Louie," an album of Lou Reed covers that included an original track titled "Lou Reed's Hair." In 2010, she released "Elvis Elvis
