Angel Moraes was a Brooklyn-born DJ, producer, and remixer who began his career in the 1990s with his own label, "Hot 'N' Spycy." He gained worldwide recognition for his notable releases, including "I Like It (I Like How You're Lov'in Me)," "The Cure," and "Welcome To The Factory." Additionally, he created remixes for various artists such as Funky Green Dogs, Pet Shop Boys, Jaydee, and Fire Island. Moraes was also one of the original founders of the Stereo Club in Montreal. His breakthrough came in 1987 when he was DJ'ing at a party and met Victor Simonelli, who invited him to assist in remixing Ebony Soul's "Can't Hardly Wait." Afterward, he connected with Johnny Vicious, leading to a collaboration with Jeffrey Rodman to establish a label together. Born on August 7, 1965, Angel Moraes passed away on February 27, 2021.
