Angela Maria was a Brazilian singer and actress, born on May 13, 1929, in Conceição de Macabu, Brazil. She is regarded as one of the best interpreters of the samba-canção music style. Angela began her performing career in 1947 at the age of 19, adopting the name Angela Maria. In addition to her music career, she became active as an actress in 1973. Angela Maria passed away on September 30, 2018.
