Angie Stone, born Angela Laverne Brown on December 18, 1961, in Columbia, South Carolina, was an American recording artist, producer, and actress. She garnered three Grammy Award nominations and achieved significant success on the R&B charts, with four top 10 albums, including one that reached number one, and 10 singles featuring a top 10 hit. Stone was the former wife of an undisclosed individual and was the mother of Michael D'Angelo Archer II, also known as D'Angelo. She passed away on March 1, 2025, in a car crash in Montgomery, Alabama.
