Angry Angles was a collaboration between Jay Reatard and Alix Brown, resulting in three 7" vinyl EPs and a split single between 2005 and 2006. Jay Reatard, known for his extensive credentials, teamed up with Alix Brown, formerly of Atlanta's 'Lids'. Together, they launched their own label, Shattered Records, in 2004 and quickly formed Angry Angles. The duo showcased a unique blend of obtuse lyrics and structures, drawing inspiration from obscure 60s girl group hooks as well as covers of atypical bands like Wire and Devo. Their work reflects a fascination with post-punk's unconventional songwriting and features dual lead vocals. For live performances, they alternated drummers, including Paul from Die Rotzz and Ryan from Tokyo Electron. Angry Angles first toured in the fall of 2005.
