Angus MacLise was born on March 14, 1938, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and passed away on June 21, 1979, in Kathmandu, Nepal, due to hypoglycemia. He was the drummer for the early lineup of the Velvet Underground and a significant collaborator with avant-garde musician La Monte Young. Angus was married until his death in 1979, and they had a son, Ossian Maclise, born in 1967. Both Angus and his wife, Hetty, are regarded as legends among vintage psychedelic and avant-garde enthusiasts.
