**Bio: Anjos do Inferno** Anjos do Inferno was the most renowned vocal and instrumental group during the Golden Era of Brazilian music, enjoying a remarkable 20-year international career characterized by rhythm, humor, and bossa. Founded in 1934 by singer Oto Alves Borges, the original lineup included Oto Borges (crooner), Antônio Barbosa (pandeiro), Moacir Bittencourt (violão), Felipe Brasil (violão), José Barbosa (violão tenor), and Milton Campos (nasal trumpet). They made their debut at Rádio Cajuti and Cruzeiro do Sul, recording their first songs for Columbia, although they did not gain significant attention initially. After a U.S. tour in 1936, Leo Vilar took over the group's direction, allowing Oto Borges to focus on his banking career. The group gained popularity at the Cassino Icaraí and recorded several hits, including "Bahia, oi, Bahia." By 1938, the lineup changed, with new members joining and the group achieving exclusive status with Columbia, leading to a series of successful recordings. In 1942, further changes occurred with new musicians filling in key positions. They switched to RCA Victor in 1944, where they recorded numerous hits and appeared in the film *Abacaxi Azul*.
