Anne Paceo is a French jazz drummer and composer born in 1984. Recognized for her remarkable talent, musicality, and dedication to her art form, she has been praised by notable figures such as Charlie Haden, who highlighted her unique musical style. As a prolific leader and composer, Paceo has developed a distinctive sound that has garnered her three Victoires de la Musique awards, including “Artist of the Year” in both 2016 and 2019, and “Jazz Revelation” in 2011. Her extensive discography, which includes seven albums and two EPs, has taken her to 45 countries across five continents. Paceo began her professional career at the age of 19, initially gaining recognition as an accompanist. She has collaborated with many prominent artists in the French and international music scene, including Archie Shepp, Rhoda Scott, and Ibrahim Maalouf, among others. Throughout her career, she has made it a priority to break down musical boundaries and create unique alchemies within her ensembles.
