Annita Ray is an American jazz and pop singer born in Hudson Falls, New York, possibly in the mid-to-late 1930s. She first gained public attention through the movie "Shake, Rattle and Rock," filmed in late 1956, which led to the release of her first single in 1957. In 1960, Annita joined Ray Anthony and his Bookend Revue, where she performed alongside Diane, showcasing their comedic interplay. By the end of 1961, Annita and Diane left the Revue to tour independently across the United States and internationally. Annita continued her solo career, releasing two more singles and an album, before eventually recording with Diane. Annita retired in 1970 and later transitioned into commercial real estate.
