ANOHNI is a British singer, composer, and visual artist currently residing in New York, USA. Born in 1971 in Chichester, West Sussex, England, as Antony Hegarty, she gained prominence with her Mercury Music Prize-winning album in 2004. Anohni publicly changed her pronouns to she/her in 2005. Her 2016 album was also nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Anohni has a strong affinity for the arts, engaging in solo exhibitions, curating visual arts exhibitions, and providing musical scores for sculptural installations and fashion shows.
