Antoine Bonelli, celebrated as "The Greatest Corsican Guitarist" of all time, was a native of Bocogano and a significant figure in Ajaccian and Corsican music. He accompanied renowned artists such as Tino Rossi and Manitas de Plata and was famous for his concerts at "Son des Guitares" in Ajaccio, Corsica. Bonelli was a master guitarist and an inspiration to many young musicians, including the late Gaston Giordani. He collaborated with Corsican writer and poet Jean-Joseph Flori, who wrote numerous songs that Bonelli performed. Known as The Buddha by locals due to his corpulence, he cherished the vibrant Ajaccian nights and the joy of music. Bonelli found solace in Mandriolu, located in the municipality of Sarrola-Carcopino, where his sister had married. He played iconic Corsican music, including "A Sirinata Aiaccina," "Cun Voi O Madamicella," and "Solenzara," and was proficient in the Ajaccian Waltz.
