Anton Anishchanka is an electroacoustic musician, field recordist, and researcher of traditional music. His work incorporates natural and folkloric sounds, blending audio archives and soundscapes collected during global expeditions. Utilizing analogue equipment such as tape recorders and synthesizers, he creates a fusion of experimental, ambient, drone, ambient jazz, and traditional music. At the intersection of sound art and ethnography, Anton crafts projects that provide deep listening experiences and transcultural auditory journeys. He actively collaborates with creative individuals from various disciplines, fostering initiatives that invigorate the local scene and demonstrate that culture can flourish at the crossroads of diverse influences. His sound and curatorial practice, which reflects the evolving dynamics of communities, has been showcased at festivals including CTM Berlin, Experimance Saarbrücken, and Barents Spektakel Kirkenes, as well as in venues throughout Germany, Poland, Italy, Belgium, and the Czech Republic.
