Anton Reicha was a Czech-born, naturalized French composer, musical theorist, and teacher. He was born on February 26, 1770, in Prague, Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic), and passed away on May 28, 1836, in Paris, France. Reicha became a resident of France in 1808 and was granted French citizenship in 1829. He is also known as Antoine Reicha and was the nephew of an unnamed individual.
