Antonio Ricardo Luciani was an Italian composer, conductor, and keyboardist born in Palermo, Sicily, in 1931. He passed away in January 2020. Luciani was known for his work on soundtracks and television themes, with his most famous piece being "Chanson Balladée," written in 1976 and used by Italian RAI TV as the theme song for "Almanacco del Giorno" for fifteen years. He is also remembered for "Tecnica Di Un Colpo Di Stato" (1978), an experimental suspense-tense military-action soundtrack for an Italian television series.
