Antonio Sanches, known as Antonito Sanches, was a Cape Verdean musician and singer born in 1949. He was emblematic of Cape Verdean music in the 1980s, particularly known for his contributions to the Funaná style. Sanches played the gaita, a small diatonic accordion, and hailed from Santiago island, Cabo Verde. He passed away on 11 October 2025 at the age of 76.
