Antonio Sorrentino, born on March 10, 1960, in Naples, Italy, was an eclectic Neapolitan artist known for his interpretations of classic Neapolitan melodies, as well as for his work as an actor and showman. He honed his skills in music and theater under the guidance of Pupella Maggio. During his adolescence, he made his first appearances at the Duemila theater, where he shared the stage with notable performers like Mario Merola and the Maggio brothers. It was during this time that he adopted the artistic name Toni Rock, through which he gained public recognition by performing primarily the songs of Massimo Ranieri and Wess. His career flourished, marked by numerous awards and performances, and he became part of the cast of "Scugnizzi," a musical by Claudio Mattone. Antonio Sorrentino passed away in November 1998 in Naples, Italy, at the young age of 38.
