A.O.S. is a musical project primarily driven by Klaus Buhlert, who created a full album and collaborated with various artists. Fay Lovsky contributed vocals to several tracks, including the song "History (Repeats Itself)," which Buhlert and Lovsky developed together. Buhlert crafted the instrumental using loops from a recording session for the 1991 album "Alone, For a Second," which featured Erik Satie compositions arranged by Thomas Wilbrandt. After Buhlert provided Wilbrandt with a copy of the song as a thank you, Wilbrandt later submitted it as part of an audition tape for the film Natural Born Killers. Although Wilbrandt had minimal involvement in the song's creation, he took ownership of it, leading to its inclusion in the film's soundtrack. Unfortunately, A.O.S. did not gain traction with record companies, as Lovsky noted that Buhlert's project, which involved collaboration with other artists, failed to catch on.
