Araz Salek is an Iranian musician and tar player, born in Tehran, Iran, in June 1980. He began playing the tar at the age of 8, studying under Tofigh Iranparvar. Araz has focused on the Iranian classical repertoire, including vocal and instrumental Radifs, under the guidance of esteemed maestros Hooshang Zarif, Arshad Tahmasebi, and Hossein Omoumi.
