Area Code 615 was a US country rock band based in Nashville, Tennessee, active during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The band derived its name from the telephone area code for Central and Eastern Tennessee. They recorded both of their albums at Cinderella Sound Studios in Madison, Tennessee. Members of Area Code 615 were also session musicians in Nashville, collaborating with artists such as Linda Ronstadt on her 1970 album and Bob Dylan on his 1969 project, as well as having previously worked with Dylan in 1966. Their track "Stone Fox Chase" was used by the BBC as a theme tune, while their rendition of "Classical Gas" featured in Guinness commercials.
