Armando Piazza was a singer-songwriter from Naples known for his unique style of acid-psych ballads, primarily featuring acoustic guitar with occasional electric instrumentation. He released two albums on the local B.B.B. label, which were sold through concerts and magazines. Piazza collaborated with American musician Shawn Phillips, who contributed guitar and bass to the recordings. His albums, particularly the first, are rare and were produced in limited quantities, poorly distributed in shops, and primarily sold by Piazza himself. Piazza passed away in February 2021. In 2001, Akarma released a welcome reissue that combined both albums on a single CD. The cassette version of his album "Suàn" had two different covers and omitted the track "I Met A Woman." The first edition of "Suàn" featured a white background for the insert, while the rarer second version had a black background with white text. In 2008, "Suàn" was reissued on vinyl by the Greek label Missing Vinyl, maintaining the original cover design. His second album, "Naus" (subtitled "Ars mensuralis"), had a laminated single cover and is also part of his limited discography. Notably, no counterfeits of his work exist.
