Armando Trovaioli (September 2, 1917 - February 27, 2013) was an Italian film composer and pianist born in Rome, Italy. With over 300 credits as a composer and/or conductor, he had a prolific career in music. Trovaioli showcased his musical talent from a young age, learning to play the violin. In 1937, he joined the Rocco Grasso orchestra, and by 1939, he was performing with one of Italy's most renowned jazz bands. After World War II, he resumed his musical career, balancing jazz and light music. He graduated in piano and composition from Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome in 1948. In 1949, Trovaioli represented Italy at the Festival du Jazz de Paris, performing with notable musicians. He began a series of recordings titled "Musica per i vostri sogni" and collaborated on radio shows that featured jazz piano performances with a string orchestra. Around this time, he also found success as a popular songwriter under a pseudonym. In 1952, he was invited by a film director to compose music for the movie "Anna," with one of the songs, "El Negro Zumbon," becoming a worldwide best seller. He performed as a concert pianist playing Gershwin music in Naples and Rome that same year. Trovaioli wrote music for the film "Due notti con Cleopatra" in 1953 and served as the orchestra director
