Arnie C. Joseph, known by his stage name Arnie Love, is a Brooklyn-born musician with a performing career that spans nearly 20 years, beginning at the end of the doo-wop era. Throughout his early career, he lent his voice to numerous groups but did not have any recording sessions to his name. By the mid-1960s, Joseph discovered his natural talent for the drums, performing with various acts, including Leo Price's band. In 1970, he led the Claim Jumpers, a popular club act in the outer boroughs, where he both backed and opened for major artists. In 1973, he decided to pursue a solo career, taking his falsetto and drumming skills with him. After a detour to Mobile, Alabama, where he joined a heavy funk band called The Family while working as a porter, he returned to Brooklyn six years later. Now, as Arnie Love, he was determined to make his mark as a solo artist. He is also known as The Gospel Teddy Bear.
