**Art Of Parties Bio** Art Of Parties is a band that emerged in the early 1980s in Athens, Greece, blending elements of new wave and new romantics. They derived their name from a track on the "Tin Drum" album by the British band Japan. The band's lineup at its inception included Pantelis Vassilakis (credited as Andy) on vocals and guitars, Dimitrios Vassilakis (credited as James) on vocals, bass, and keys, Athanassios Economou (credited as Adam) on guitars, and Konstantinos Kyriakidis (credited as Costas) on drums. Their first single was released in early 1984 on Creep Records. The band's origins trace back to early 1980 when schoolmates Θανάσης and Παντελής began jam sessions in Nea Smyrni and Palaio Faliro, sharing their musical influences. They were later joined by Γιώργος Ορφανουδάκης on drums and Δημήτρης on bass, which significantly shaped their musical style. After performing around a dozen gigs, they caught the attention of Creep Records in 1983. Following a lineup change, Κώστας Κυριακίδης replaced Γιώργος on drums as they prepared for recording.
