Art Porter was an American jazz saxophonist born on August 3, 1961, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was the son of jazz pianist Art Porter Sr. (1934-1993). Throughout his career, Art Jr. collaborated with notable musicians, including Pharoah Sanders, Jack McDuff, and Ramsey Lewis. Tragically, he passed away in a boat accident on November 23, 1996, in Sai Yok, Kanchanburi, Thailand.
