Arthur Lee Harper, known simply as Arthur on his first album, was a folk-rock singer and songwriter from the United States. He released two albums in the late 1960s: "Dreams and Images" in 1968 and "Love Is the Revolution" in 1969, the latter under his full name. Despite sharing a name with the more famous Arthur Lee of the band Love, he is a distinct and relatively obscure artist. His music is characterized by sad songs that reflect themes of fearful uncertainty, self-pity, and disengagement. Harper recorded one more album in the mid-1970s. Tragically, he passed away from a heart attack on January 10, 2002, the same night his wife was killed in a car accident.
