Michiya Mihashi (三橋 美智也) was a renowned Japanese enka and minyo singer and shamisen player, born in Hokkaido on November 10, 1930. He made his professional recording debut in 1954 and became one of the biggest selling Japanese recording artists, with over 160 million records sold during his career. Mihashi passed away on January 8, 1996.
