Dao Bandon, born in the Isan region of Thailand, is recognized as one of the enduring greats of the 1970s era. Coming from a poor family, he spent his teenage years as a monk, experiences that profoundly influenced his life and music. His agricultural roots are reflected in the earthy essence of his lyrics, while his monastic chanting has contributed a unique resonance to his singing. After honing his skills under the guidance of some of the greats in Thai music, Dao Bandon achieved success by leading his own band.
