Yoko Kuroki was a Japanese singer born on January 6, 1921. She made her debut in 1948 and achieved significant success with her biggest hit in 1950, a Japanese-language version of "Besame Mucho." Tragically, Kuroki passed away on February 18, 1959, at the age of 38, when she was struck by a train at an unguarded railway crossing in Tokyo, along with her oldest daughter.
